How many times do I have to tell you that this is an ALMOST weekly newsletter?

I got distracted by a new project that’s even shinier. More about that later, we’ve got bigger fish to fry. This is the first episode without a section dedicated to a hobby.

How do you feel about that?

Do you ever get nervous?

Anyway. Brief moment of sincerity: It felt weird writing in my voice about a hobby I don’t actually engage in. So the experiment might change a bit moving forward where this newsletter becomes more about my curiosity than a library of interests.

I’ll still be working to feature creative people and hobbyists, and I’ll still write about my own hobbies, but I’m probably not gonna do a deep dive on underwater basket weaving and hit publish.

📙 The Bookmarks

The name bookmarks is kinda weird because like it doesn’t mark the book it marks the page IN the book you know? Below are my pagemarks.

  • With renewed interest around Kei cars and normal people not being able to afford a new vehicle anymore…could it finally be time for this concept car to come to life? It looks like a Jetson’s ship had an illegitimate baby with a limesicle and I mean that as a compliment.

  • Do you like games? Do you like UX design? Are you my real dad? Then you’re gonna hate or LOVE this site. Reminiscent of “The Art of the Title”, this bad boy will keep you busy for at LEAST 5 minutes.

  • If you’re into sports cards, Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, or any other form of collecting cards, you should shoot a follow over to Grailfort. We’re prototyping displays and storage for cards that you’ll ACTUALLY want in your living room. More soon!

  • Projects driven by AI that aren’t about making bad illustrations for bitcoin articles would be a big deal….and this site shared with me by Corey Lofthus of Soulyft opens up the door to that world.

  • Remember Burnside Knives from a few episodes back? They’re running a kickstarter. Go help ‘em out!
